What stays in your browser

The profile workbench keeps your draft in your own browser’s local storage. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see it. Your reading list is stored the same way. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Information you give us

Contact form

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, profession or business and message, along with your consent to be contacted.

Enquiry form

When you use the enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number and message.

Both forms go to our shared enquiry service, which sends the details to our team by email, keeps a copy in our internal enquiry inbox and sends you a confirmation email from notify@aliveprofile.com.

Updates

If you subscribe for updates in the footer, we collect your email address to send occasional updates about AliveProfile. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Information collected automatically

This website runs on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect it, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested for security and reliability.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics loads only after you select “Allow analytics” in Cookie preferences. It measures page views on our public information pages using the APPNEURAL portfolio analytics property. It may process browser, device and approximate location information and set analytics cookies. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our integration.

We send only the public page origin and path, without query strings, fragments or referrer values. We do not send profile drafts, reading lists, form fields or contact details. The workbench, account and contact routes are excluded from our page-view events. Google may process analytics data outside India.

You can choose “Essential only” or change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences button. Choosing essential storage stops our page-view collection and removes Google Analytics cookies accessible to this site. Drafts and reading preferences continue to work. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles data it receives.

People Index

The People Index presents short reference profiles of notable public figures, written from published sources. If you are featured and want something corrected or removed, email us and we will review it promptly.

How we use your information

We use your information to reply to you, share information you asked for, send updates you subscribed to, and keep this website secure and working well. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We share personal data with service providers that help us run this website: Cloudflare for hosting, security and email delivery, Google for optional analytics after consent, and where the law requires it. These providers may process data outside India.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and subscription details for as long as we need them to respond, follow up and keep business records. We delete them when they are no longer needed or when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you can ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, have it erased, withdraw your consent and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that has already taken place.

Grievance Officer

For privacy requests or complaints, email our Grievance Officer at hello@aliveprofile.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We acknowledge requests within 2 working days and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please involve a parent or guardian before sending us your details.
